Peruvian writer today English citizen, Mario Vargas Llosa has just won the Nobel Prize for Literature and is therefore extremely happy and especially surprised.
"I think a writer should not think of the Nobel Prize because it is bad for prose," said Mario Vargas Llosa in an interview in 2006.
After being mentioned as a favorite for decades, now returns to Latin America, the prestigious Nobel Prize for Literature.
Jorge Mario Pedro Vargas Llosa was born in Arequipa in 1936 and was naturalized English in 1993. Cultivated journalism, film criticism, art and other activities, he ran for the presidency of Peru in 1990.
What distinguishes innovation introduced in realist novel, in works like "The City and the Dogs," "The Green House" and "Conversation in the Cathedral."
Earlier in 1995 he received the Cervantes Prize, the most prized literary award and distinction in the English speaking world.
is the sixth Latin American writer who comes from the Swedish Academy on "Nobel Prize in Literature."
